PhD thesis: Novel materials for CCUS
Supervisor: Prof. K. J. Stevenson, prof. A. A. Osiptsov
Biography:
Mariam obtained her bachelor and master degree in Chemical Technology from the D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia (MUCTR) in 2019 and in 2021.
During her undergraduate studies, Mariam has strengthened her skills with research work at the A.V.Topchiev Institute of Petrochemical Synthesis, Russian Academy of Sciences (TIPS RAS). At the TIPS RAS, she had an opportunity to participate in creation an adsorption /desorption unit for capturing CO2 from gases using monoethanolamine-based absorbents.
Doing her Master Thesis research at the Join Institute for High Temperatures of the Russian Academy of Sciences (JIHT RAS), she worked on a project of creation a new method for thermal conversion of biomass for obtaining energy in less harmfull way compared with coal conversion.
At Skoltech Mariam focus of research related to membrane technologies for CCUS.
