Facilities

Experimental facilities

CEST has designed and established state-of-the-art laboratories both with experimental and theoretical components that are unique in Russia and the world.

Energy Storage Laboratory

Experimental equipment for fabrication and characterization of energy conversion and storage devices such as an argon-filled glovebox, electrochemical workstations with potentiostatic and galvanostatic control, quartz crystal microbalance (EQCM), impedance spectroscopy, and hydrodynamic capabilities. In situ capabilities for performing spectro-electrochemical investigation with UV-Vis-NIR spectroscopy and Raman vibrational microscopy with multi-wavelength excitation (532, 780 nm). In situ Atomic Force Microscopy and Kelvin Probe Microscopy for morphological characterization of materials. There are also device prototyping and testing facilities available. See details here.

Smart Grid Laboratory

Installation is a modernized electricity network, that used information and communication networks and technologies to gather information on energy production and consumption, allowing automatically improve the efficiency, reliability, economic benefits, as well as production stability and distribution of electricity. See details here.

Heat Exchange and Electricity Laboratory

See details here.

Computational Laboratory

Our Center has a comprehensive toolset for modeling of organic and inorganic materials from large scale classical molecular dynamics to highly accurate ab initio quantum chemistry. See details here.
