Center for Energy Science and Technology
Supervisor: Federico Martin Ibanez
Ilya Veretennikov graduated from Saint Petersburg State Electrotechnical University “LETI,” Department for Electrical Technology and Converter Engineering (BSc, 2020), and Skoltech Energy Systems (MSc, 2022). Since 2022, he has been pursuing his PhD at the Skoltech Center for Energy Science and Technology, focusing on research related to the control and stability of grid-connected inverters. In 2023, Ilya joined the Smart Grid Laboratory as a Laboratory Engineer, where he works on the design and development of power electronics devices for electric vehicles, including charging stations and supercapacitor modules.
His research interests include distributed generation challenges in electrical grids, with a particular focus on grid-connected inverters control, mathematical optimization for grid applications, and hardware-in-the-loop experimentation.
