Ph.D. thesis title: “SWCNT/polymer composites for electronic applications”.
Supervisor: Prof. Albert Nasibulin, Dr. Fedor Fedorov;
Ilya graduated from the Faculty of Physics of Lomonosov Moscow State University, Department of Polymers and Crystals Physics in 2019. His master’s thesis under Prof. Gallyamov’s guidance was devoted to the biopolymer-based composite materials fabrication in a solution of carbonic acid under high pressure for biomedical applications.
At Skoltech, Ilya is working on the synthesis of SWCNT/polymer composite materials since 2019. Such materials can be used in a wide range of applications, such as gas sensors and multi-sensor systems (e.g. electronic nose), bolometers, supercaps and many others. Within the frameworks of his thesis project, novel original methods for SWCNT/polymer composite fabrication are being developed, such as one-stage in situ gas-phase polymerization or coagulation precipitation with additionally deagglomerated nanotubed by means of the use of supercritical fluids. Features of aerosol CVD synthesis of SWCNTs and its adaptation for composite fabrication is being studied as well. The fabricated composites are assessed in terms of the sensor and electrochemical applications.
