Ph.D thesis: “Development of the lead-free perovskite-like chalcogenic and chalcohalide metal complexes and investigation of their semiconductor and photovoltaic characteristics”.
Supervisor: Pavel Troshin
IDC committee members: Keith Stevenson, Prof. Sergei Tretiak and Prof. Pavel Troshin
Igor graduated from Novosibirsk State University in 2018 majoring in inorganic complex metal-polyhalide systems (in department of Inorganic Chemistry). His diploma work was dedicated to developing of synthesis and structural investigation of the chemically reactive polyhalide complexes of Bi(III), in selective bromination reactions in particular. At Skoltech Igor’s focus of research became the synthesis and investigation of functional lead-free chalcogenide and chalcohalide metal complexes in their semiconductive and photovoltaic properties in solar cells. In his current project, he works on obtaining the conventional photoactive thin films and measuring their PV-characteristics in modular solar cells. The work is being done in collaboration of Skoltech Center for Electrochemical Energy Storage and Laboratory of Functional Materials for Electronics and Medicine, IPCP RAS (Chernogolovka, Russia).
