Hassaan Ahmad Butt graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering from the top ranked institution in Pakistan, The National University of Sciences and Technology in 2012. Upon graduation, Hassaan was readily accepted into a national research organization where his work focused on the design, manufacturing and practical implementation of composites and nanocomposites. In 2014, Hassaan won a full ride scholarship for his Master’s degree in Materials Science to the Chinese C9 member institute, The Harbin Institute of Technology. In 2018, Hassaan joined Skoltech as a Research Intern and switched to his PhD, with his work now focusing on carbon nanoparticles, their nanocomposites and applications. Hassaan is currently working at the Laboratory of Nanomaterials under the supervision of Professor Albert Nasibulin and Dmitry Krasnikov.
