Ph.D. thesis: “Computational design of new superconducting materials and its targeted experimental synthesis”
Supervisor: Artem Oganov
IDC committee members: Alexander Kvashnin, Andriy Zhugayevych, Alexander Shapeev
Dmitrii graduated from Saint-Petersburg State University, Institute of Chemistry in 2014 majoring in organic synthesis. His diploma was dedicated to elaboration of new anti-inflammatory agents – 4,5-diaryl-3(2H)furanones. Dmitrii got his joint master degree in Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (The Lebedev’s Physical Institute, major in solid state physics) and Skoltech (major in material science) in 2017. His master thesis in Skoltech was dedicated to synthesis of new macromolecular calix[4]arenes and 2D polymers on their basis, while in MIPT he defended the work related to theoretical investigation of superconductivity in novel metal hydrides stabilized by high pressure conditions. In his current PhD project Dmitrii participates in experimental synchrotron investigations of high pressure chemistry of metal-hydrogen and metal-boron systems, and their physical properties, in collaboration with Jilin University (China).
