Daniil graduated from ITMO University in 2018, where he finished Master Degree in the Department of Chemistry and Molecular Biology. His scientific activity was connected with applications of sol-gel chemistry to optically active materials: humidity sensors, up-conversion aerogels, mechanoluminescent composites. At Skoltech his research is divided to technological processes of deposition of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) on substrates by the means of light. This process can be called photophoresis, or light-induced thermophoresis. It is assumed, that this can be highly useful for further selective deposition of SWCNTs with certain properties directly from aerosols, which may become extremely important for further development of this field of science and technology.
