Ph.D. thesis: «Polyanion cathode materials for postlithium-ion batteries»
Supervisor: Prof. Abakumov Artem
IDC committee members: Prof. Abakumov Artem, Prof. Stevenson Keith and Prof. Antipov Evgeny
Aleksei graduated from Saratov State University in 2015 majoring in Chemistry. His diploma work was dedicated to synthesis and electrochemical characterization of lithium-iron selicate . At Skoltech Aleksei’s focus of research is also on the cathode materials for metal-ion batteries. In his current project, he works on further investigation of the polyanion cathode materials for postlithium-ion batteries. The transition metal compounds containing the various polyanionic units are considered the most promising cathode materials for the next generation of metal-ion batteries due to the high redox potential caused by the inductive effect and good electrochemical and thermal stability. Also this work is supported by grant of Russian Foundation for Basic Research № 17-03-00370 А “New cathode materials for metal-ion batteries based on mixed polyanionic structures”.
