PhD thesis: High-energy vanadium-based positive electrode materials for sodium-ion batteries
Supervisor: Fedotov Stanislav
IDC Committee members: Antipov Evgeniy, Fedotov Stanislav, Nikitina Victoria
Biography:
Semen graduated with honors (GPA 5.00) from the Department of Chemistry at Lomonosov Moscow State University in 2022. His diploma project was conducted under Dr. Stanislav Fedotovs’ supervision and was focused on the novel vanadium phosphates as prospective electrode materials for sodium-ion batteries.
Semen’s professional skills cover all main synthesis and necessary experimental methods within inorganic and solid-state chemistry fields. Additionally, Semen also has an expertise in making synchrotron operando and conventional X-ray diffraction experiments due to being a part of scientific groups during business trips to DESY (Hamburg, Germany, 2021) and to Elettra (Triste, Italy, 2023) synchrotrons.
Currently Semen’s PhD research is dedicated to widening his diploma project, further discovering new vanadium-based high-energy materials with appealing structural types, paying special attention to direct morphology and composition tuning.
