PhD thesis: Data-driven materials design for organic materials in electronics
Supervisor: Prof. Keith Stevenson
IDC Committee members: Prof. Keith Stevenson, Prof. Andriy Zhugayevych, Prof. Sergey Levchenko
Biography
Ekaterina graduated from Moscow Institute of Fine Chemical Technology in 2019 as
a Bachelor in Chemistry (with honours). Under the supervision of Prof. B.I.Shapiro she has
studied the kinetics of J-aggregation in cyanine dyes. In parallel, she was gaining experience in
the synthesis of oligomers at ISPM RAS (Luminnotech, Skolkovo resident) in the laboratory of
Sergey Ponomarenko as well as performing DFT computations for non-linear optically active
organic materials for TECHNOMASH. As a Materials Science Master student at Skoltech,
Ekaterina focused her research on organic hole-transport materials for perovskite solar cells and
defended the thesis “Impact of organic hole-transport materials on the performance and
stability of perovskite solar cells” under the supervision of Prof. Stevenson. Currently, her
research is devoted to the materials data science area involving organic materials for metal-ion
batteries, organic solar cells, redox-flow batteries and organic field-effect transistors as the
objects.
