PhD student
Ph.D. thesis: “New phosphate-based positive electrode materials for sodium-ion batteries”
Supervisor: Assistant Prof. Stanislav Fedotov
IDC committee members: Prof. Artem Abakumov, Prof. Evgeny Antipov and Assistant Prof. Stanislav Fedotov

Aleksandr graduated Department of Chemistry (Lomonosov Moscow State University) in 2020. His scientific interests are focused on various approaches to synthesis of new framework-structures inorganic phosphates as electrode materials for batteries. His master thesis at MSU were devoted to preparation and investigation new family members of compounds, adopting KTiOPO4 structure type (AVPO4X, where A = K, Rb; X = O, F). The compounds of this structure type are believed as promising basis for creating materials for next generation of metal-ion batteries, due to their possibility reversibly de/intercalate Li+, Na+ and K+ ions even at high currents (up to 40C for Li+ in K0.15VPO4F framework, which is equivalent to 1.5 minutes).
