Research experience at the Pisa University

This spring, PhD candidate Kirill Abrosimov (Supervisor: Prof. Aldo Bischi) spent two months doing his research in the University of Pisa, Italy. He had a chance to collaborate with the research group of  Prof. Umberto Desideri,  head of the Energy, Systems, Territory and Constructions Engineering (DESTEC) Department. Kirill was researching an original power-generating unit scheme, which is thoroughly studied in his recent publication, under the co-supervision of Prof. Andrea Baccioli.   Kirill has been admitted to the PhD students’ winter school organised by the Italian association of Fluid Machines and Energy Systems (AIM  SEA). This School helped to reveal an interest and new perspectives of the Kirill’s topic in the University of Liege, Belgium. Prof. Vincent Lemort from Liege University was lecturing at the School. Later, Kirill performed a seminar for the Energy Systems Laboratory of the Liege University to share his experience with Prof. Lemort’s research group and “Mitis” startup, finding relevant synergies between Skoltech/UniPI mathematical models and ULiege experimental capacities.
