Dr. David Pozo Camara, Asisstant Professor of the Center for Energy Systems, has been elevated to the grade of Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
The IEEE is the world’s largest association of technical professionals, with more than 420,000 members in over 160 countries around the world. The IEEE Senior membership recognizes significant contributions to the profession.
Dr. Pozo’s research interests lie in the field of energy systems and include operations research, uncertainty, games and statistics as well renewable energy and its impact on power systems and electricity markets. He focuses on problems of optimization and flexibility of modern power systems. Dr. Pozo is responsible for undergraduate lectures, workshops and graduate seminars on latest developments in modeling and optimization.
