“Gamma-ray dose threshold for MAPbI3 solar cells” by the Energy Center’s Scientists

The Energy Center’s Research Scientists Aleksandra Boldyreva and Marina Tepliakova, as well as Junior Research Scientist Artyom Novikov and PhD student Alexandra Zhivchikova co-authored an article selected by the Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics editorial board as that journal’s “hot paper.” The study reports on the effects observed under moderate exposure to gamma rays in methylammonium lead iodide polycrystalline films. These are used as the light-harvesting layer in so-called perovskite solar cells. Compiled each year, the collection of hot papers features articles highlighted by editors and reviewers of the journal, which is published by the Royal Society of Chemistry.
