From May 16 to May 19, 2022, a group of students, graduate students, postdocs and professors of the Center for Energy Science and Technology completed a course on the basics of working with the RSCAD program and the RTDS system. The course was prepared by EnLab, the official representative of RTDS Technologies Inc. (Canada).
Training in the RSCAD/RTDS environment is part of the work carried out by the Center within the framework of the Megagrant. As part of the course, approaches to modeling the main elements of electrical grids, as well as different modes of their operation, were studied. The basic skills of working with the RTDS simulator, running the created models on it and interacting with the simulator via digital and analog interfaces were also obtained.
