Professor Evgeny Antipov became a full member of the Russian Academy of Sciences

On May 29-30, the General Assembly of Members of the Russian Academy of Sciences elected Energy Center Professor Evgeny Antipov as a full member of the academy in the chemistry and materials science division. The more than 1,800 nominees for RAS membership have been considered for the past several months, beginning at the level of sections and culminating with a secret ballot held Thursday. As a result of the vote, 85 scientists have attained full membership and 165 nominees became the academy’s corresponding members. A further 39 candidates from China, Hungary, Vietnam, Italy, India, the U.S., and other countries secured the status of foreign members of RAS.
