Skoltech welcomed prospective applicants at two Open Doors events, presenting six MSc and PhD programs in chemistry and a new joint master’s program of Skoltech and Yandex “AI in Robotics”. Dean of Education Clement Fortin and Associate Dean of Education Natalia Galochkina greeted the visitors and introduced the Institute. Program presentations were delivered by Distinguished Professor Artem Abakumov and Assistant Professor Dmitry Aksenov from the Energy Center, Assistant Professor Fedor Fedorov from the Photonics Center, Associate Professor of the Practice Vera Rybko from the Bio Center, Professor of the Practice Mikhail Spasennykh from the Petroleum Center, Professor Ivan Tyukin from the AI Center, and Skoltech alumnus and Yandex Robotics CEO Ivan Kalinov. They answered student questions and spotlighted the opportunities available in their fields. The Open Doors events concluded with tours of Skoltech’s research facilities: The guests visited a number of laboratories at the Energy, Petroleum, and Bio centers, including the Laboratory of Molecular Neuroscience, the Laboratory of Metagenome Analysis, the Laboratory of Thermal Spray and Functional Coatings, the Additive Manufacturing Laboratory, and the Mobile Robotics Lab.
