On May 14, the Russian National Committee of CIGRE, a global nonprofit in the field of high voltage electricity, held a conference at the Rosseti Scientific and Technical Center to review the outcomes of the 50th CIGRE Session, which took place in Paris from August 25-30, 2024. Associate Professor Marina Dolmatova from Energy Center presented the key findings of the Study Committee C5, which analyzed the impact of regulation on electricity markets. Marina’s talk highlighted critical topics, including ensuring reliable operations amid climate, technological, and cyber risks, integrating distributed energy resources, developing market flexibility, and boosting economic efficiency through coordinated energy market design and the creation of a global energy network. The conference brought together experts from 15 national research committees.
