Skoltech hosted International School for Young Scientists on the Synthesis of Electrode Materials

On November 15-19, Skoltech hosted the ninth International School of Young Scientists for Young Scientists on the Synthesis of Electrode Materials, organized by the Skoltech Energy Center with the support from the Russian Science Foundation. Young scientists presented their research results at a poster session and took part in practical classes on various topics related to the synthesis of materials for energy, in particular, on guiding synthesis by material modeling, hydrothermal synthesis, methods of anode materials synthesis, and many other areas.

The participants were welcomed by Professor Artem Abakumov, who heads the Energy Center and Professor Evgeny Antipov, a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, who made presentations on the synthesis of electrode materials using the spray drying method and on materials for metal-ion batteries. More than 50 participants from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kirov, Samara, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Novocherkassk, and other cities took part in the school.
