The Center for Energy Science and Technology of Skoltech developed a new power line light system, which the Rosseti company launched near the Koltsovo Airport (Ekaterinburg city).
The work was performed by Dmitry Titov, Associate Professor, and the following Engineers:
Klim Volkhov;
Sergey Krivutsenko;
Privalov Oleg.
The software and hardware solution allows to implement various scenarios for controlling the light fence: according to the level of natural light, according to the daily schedule and in the “manual” mode. The solution is currently undergoing the operational test.
Power engineers can remotely monitor the technical condition of the system and, if necessary, reconfigure it. For example, the operator can clean the sensors of the photorelay from icing by turning on the heating, or adjust the charging parameters of the batteries.
Monitoring the parameters of the state of operation of the modules allows you to eliminate emergency situations during operation. In particular, the battery charge level is automatically controlled, the limiting currents of light sources are monitored, which greatly increases their service life. All state and control parameters are recording and available for data analysis.
