On the second week of September, Skoltech PhD candidate Kirill Abrosimov has presented his work at the 5th International Seminar on ORC Power Systems in Athens, Greece. This conference, organised by the efforts of the Knowledge Center on Organic Rankine Cycle once in two years, is one of the most reputable scientific events In Europe contributing to the development of the ORC technology. In his presentation, Kirill was reporting on the results of the study on the combined inverted Brayton — Organic Rankine cycle, focusing on the results of multi-objective optimisation and the scheme sensitivity analysis from the ambient conditions. This work expands the study recently published by Kirill and his co-authors, Prof A. Bischi and Prof A. Baccioli, in Energy Conversion and Management journal under the title “Techno-economic analysis of combined inverted Brayton – Organic Rankine cycle for high-temperature waste heat recovery“. Such a combined configuration has found the first systematic study in works of this research group.
