Alvaro González, a second-year Ph.D. student at the Center for Energy Science and Technology (CEST) at Skoltech, has received an outstanding paper recognition at the 11th Mediterranean Conference on Power Generation, Transmission, Distribution and Energy Conversion (MEDPOWER) held on 12-15 November 2018 in Dubrovnik (Cavtat), Croatia. The paper was co-authored by González, and Professors Aldo Bischi and David Pozo, assistant professors at the CEST. They were recognized for their work, “A Detailed Li-ion Battery Operation Model for Day-ahead Economic Dispatch.”
MEDPOWER2018 provided a platform for professional power engineers, technicians, researchers, scholars, computer scientists, and other industry specialists to discuss state-of-the-art developments in the academia and industry as well as providing opportunities for networking and collaboration through series of presentations, talks, discussions, and special sessions. The conference focused on all aspects of power system operation, integration of ICT and energy systems as well as addressing challenges in the energy markets, regulation and power system management.
