The hosting organization Renewable Energy Institute of Japan announced the report on their recent research that examines specific route designs and investment cost and revenue calculations for grid interconnections between Japan and South Korea, and between Japan and Russia.
Skoltech was represented by Andrey Churkin (CES) who made a report on benefits and cost allocation techniques applied to interstate electrical interconnections.
The event attracted Japanese industry, government, and media with about 300 people participating in the panel discussion.
