On October 31st, in Skolkovo Technopark, Skoltech students, including two MSc students of the Center for Energy Systems, Ilgiz Murzakhanov and Roman Pop, took part in the Industry Day. Our two students, who have been selected based on the achievements during their two-month summer industrial immersion, made oral presentations on their projects. Ilgiz and Roman completed an internship at JSC “NTC FSK EES” of JSC “FSK EES” and Moscow Joint Energy Company respectively. They had an opportunity to present results of their work at the poster session in the second part of the Industry Day to its guests: students, researchers, academia, and industry representatives.
The poster session was aimed to establish closer contact between students and industrials partners. There were just a few posters of our Center. However, the discussion, under facilitation of Prof. Elena Gryazina and PhD student Kirill Abrosimov, happened to be quite extensive. Representatives of RusHydro and Rakurs-Engineering were engaged and showed a real interest in the projects of our students. We hope that they will result in our collaboration in the future.
The Skoltech Big Industrial Day was organized by the Industrial Liaison Office for the first time. Its specific intent was to showcase the talents of students from CREI programs to industry stakeholders. A total of 15 students had a chance to give presentations on their industrial immersion experiences.
