New Senior Research Scientist Alexander Ivanishchev joined the group of Prof. Artem Abakumov at CEE CREI.
Alexander is a specialist in electrochemistry of lithium intercalation systems, particularly in the development and study of the properties of materials and components for such systems. He received his Candidate of Sciences degree from Saratov State University, Russia, in 2005. In his thesis he investigated mass-transfer in nonstoichiometric compounds of lithium based on carbon and tungsten oxide (VI). Then he continued to work at Saratov State University as a Researcher and then a Senior Researcher. In 2009 to 2011, he worked at Samsung SDI company in South Korea as a Senior Researcher. He dealt with the structural and morphological modification of surface and bulk of materials particles applying chemical, mechanic-chemical and thermal treatment in order to improve Rate capability and Cycle life of commercial cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries (LIB) and to develop synthesis methods for new materials.
After returning to Saratov, Alexander joined Saratov State University again in the position of a Leading Researcher. In the period from 2011 to 2015 he managed several research projects supported by Russian Science Foundation and Russian Foundation for Basic Research in the area of LIB’s materials development and investigation of their electrochemical and physical-chemical properties. He developed new theoretical bases for several modern electrochemical techniques: pulse chronoampero- and chronopotentiometry, cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. In his recent publications he studied correlation between the electrochemical, structural and morphological parameters of lithium intercalated electrode materials.
Alexander’s profile is here. Alexander, welcome!
