Digital Design and Manufacturing

Research in the area of digital design and manufacturing is aimed at the development of digital models of real manufacturing processes and technologies.

Activities in all the laboratories in the Center involve digital design based on the use of computational modeling tools. The primary focus of the Laboratory for Cyber-Physical systems is on the “digital twin” methodology development, hybrid modeling and model verification using advanced digital techniques. Concentration on the Systems-Driven Product Development methodology and tools. Services of “digital twins” development are in numerous industries, such as the aerospace, energy, automotive industries. Among other goals are: continuous education for professionals, PLM implementation for high-tech industries, business processes re-engineering for implementation of the System-Driven Product Development approach.
