Computational Engineering

Computational Engineering is an important part of the activities in the Center. Digital design of new materials and structures requires not only understanding the underlying science, but also the ability to make predictions based on computational modeling and on building digital twins of actual manufacturing processes.

The faculty and researchers involved in Computational Engineering in CDMM:

  • S. Abaimov: computational analysis of composite materials
  • A. Kasimov: computational fluid dynamics, numerical analysis of alloy solidification
  • A. Pasko: computational geometric modeling
  • I. Uzhinsky: digital design, digital twin methodology development
  • I.Shishkovsky : multiscale numerical modelling of technological processes
