SEMINAR ABSTRACT:This presentation will begin with a brief review of contemporary problems of mathematical modeling of unique structures, buildings and facilities. Major research directions, including sophisticated highprecision structural analysis, simulation of wind and snow impacts, mathematical-based structural health monitoring technologies, development and verification of numerical and semianalytical methods (and solvers) and corresponding software, will be highlighted. Experience in computational research over the past decade will be presented. Particularly results of analysis of objects of the 2014 Winter Olympics, stadiums of the FIFA World Cup 2018, skyscrapers, long-span buildings, monuments, pumped-storage hydro stations, nuclear power stations, floating structures and platforms for offshore production, tanks for oil and oil products, wind mills, pipeline systems and space structures with allowance for various loads, impacts and advanced coupled formulations are under consideration. This will be followed by a discussion on the prospects for joint research and Master’s and Ph.D. programs. |
