SEMINAR ABSTRACT:

Basic types of microspheres (nonorganic and polymeric) and fields of its application are considered. Research results of the hollow glass microspheres (HGM) properties and usage patterns during the manufacturing of products of different applications from syntactic composite materials is described. In a specific context shown the effectiveness of use of syntactics on the base of HGM during the manufacturing of sandwich composites with high specific stress-strain properties

SPEAKER INTRODUCTION:

Prof. L.V. Pleshkov’s research interests are the development of composite materials and constructions on its basis with high specific stress-strain properties and the development of high temperature (more than 1000 °С) thermal insulation composites and composite thermal protection of ablative type.  Prof. L.V. Pleshkov is co-author of 24 inventions and near 100 scientific articles and reports on the scientific conferences. Prof. L.V. Pleshkov’s scientific-production association is the leading company in Russia for development and production of high strength and high temperature resistant fibers and hollow glass microspheres.
