Aleksandra Galitsyna and Mikhail Gelfand have co-authored a chapter “HiChew: a Tool for TAD Clustering in Embryogenesis” in the book “Bioinformatics Research and Applications”. The scientists have developed HiChew, a specialized tool for segmentation of Hi-C maps into topologically associated domains (TADs) of a given expected size. Further TADs were clustered based on their dynamics during the embryogenesis. HiChew clusters were shown to correlate with genomic and epigenetic characteristics. Congratulations! Full text of the chapter is available here.
