On December, 20 Skoltech professor Konstantin Severinov gave a public lecture on CRISPR/Cas system in Zaryadye Park. During the lecture, prof. Severinov talked about how CRISPR/Cas systems protect bacteria from phage infections and how this system can be applied to genome editing and even how it can be used in treating the inherited diseases.
