Timofei Zatsepin co-authored a paper in Scientific Reports

Skoltech professor Timofei Zatsepin has co-authored a paper “Translation elongation factor 2 depletion by siRNA in mouse liver leads to mTOR-independent translational upregulation of ribosomal protein genes” that has been recently published in Scientific Reports. The researchers have performed a successful knockdown of the gene encoding translation elongation factor eEF2 in mouse liver. They have also shown that eEF2 depletion leads to upregulation of ribosomal protein genes in mTOR-independent way. Congratulations! Full text of the article is available here.
