Skoltech scientists Sofya Kasatskaya and Dmitry Chudakov co-authored the paper “Memory CD4+ T cells are generated in the human fetal intestine” published in Nature Immunology on January, 21. The researchers have demonstrated that there are several populations of CD4+ T-cells in human fetal intestine, some of which being memory-like and able to transform into fully functional memory T-cells under exposure to foreign antigens.
