Iana Fedorova takes part in the GosNIIGenetika 50th anniversary conference

On the 4th of October, junior research scientist Iana Fedorova, a member of Konstantin Severinov’s research group, is giving a talk at the conference “Genetics of Microorganisms: From Genomics to Bioeconomics”. The conference is organized to celebrate the 50th anniversary of  the State Research Institute of Genetics and Selection of Industrial Microorganisms of the Kurchatov Institute, known as GosNIIgenetika. Iana will give a short overview of CRISPR Cas systems biodiversity, describe methods which are used for biochemical characterization of Cas proteins, and present data on characterization of several Cas9 orthologs derived from the research project “Delivery of New Nucleases by AAV for Gene Therapy of Hereditary Diseases” (funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia).
