A Skoltech PhD student Anna Maikova (supervised by Konstantin Severinov) presented her research project on CRISPR/Cas-system of human pathogen Clostridium difficile on the 6th International C. difficile Symposium which took place on 12-14 September in Bled, Slovenia. Anna was selected to give an oral presentation and won one of 15 grants covering the conference fee as well as living expenses. The talk was on the molecular details of CRISPR/Cas system of C. difficile and its potential as a novel tool for genome editing in С. difficile
