Dear CDISE students and CDISE faculty and researchers,
UNESCO is organizing a global virtual hackathon “CodeTheCurve” for young researchers and students to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic!
Language — English!
Gather a crew of developers, data scientists, and friends from other fields – and remember you can collaborate with educators, teachers, and researchers!

Important! The submissions must be at the idea stage and not already in-market.
Timeline
- 6 April – Call for applications opens
- 9 April – Call for applications closes
- 15 April – 40 selected teams announced
- 16-21 April – Learning resources for pre-collaboration
- 22-23 April – Online learning
- 24-26 April – Hack
- 30 April – Winners announced
Requirements
Create a team and submit a two-minute video while meeting the following criteria:
- 2-6 people per team
- Teams MUST HAVE:
- All members 16+ years of age
- One person under 25 years of age
- At least 1 male and 1 female
- At least one developer and/or one person with basic data science skills
- At least one member with basic Linux and Jupyter Notebook experience.
- Programming skills can include Python, Java, HTML, and/or the ability to use App Inventor or Power Apps
