The Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech) is a private graduate research university in Skolkovo (a suburb of Moscow, Russia). Established in 2011 in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Skoltech educates global leaders in innovation, advance scientific knowledge, and fosters new technologies to address critical issues facing Russia and the world. Applying international research and educational models, the university integrates the best Russian scientific traditions with twenty-first century entrepreneurship and innovation. All educational programs are taught in English which is the working language in Skoltech.
Skoltech is also a part of the Skolkovo Innovation Center ecosystem. On September 1, 2018, the Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev opened the brand new Campus of Skoltech. The unique building if New campus was designed by world renowned Swiss architects Herzog and de-Meuron. It is located on a 12-hectare area with total Campus area of over 130 K square meters. Spacious auditoriums, top notch laboratories with advanced equipment, learning commons and a student center are able to accommodate all our students and young scientists. One of the main goals is to create an environment for interdisciplinary research in a comfortable and user friendly environment.
