Seminar: NV center in diamond

Date:  April 26
Time: 16.00 – 18.00

Abstract
Recently NV centers in diamond have proven to be a versatile platform for modern quantum applications, including quantum registers, quantum sensors, room temperature single photon sources. NV center in diamond have advantageous properties, such as optical initialization and readout of electron spin and nuclear spin, long coherence time of electron and nuclear spin, ultra-long living nuclear ancilla quantum memory. This systems works at room temperature and all its advantages pave the way for creating compact, and easy to control quantum devices. In this lecture we will briefly look at spin manipulations in solid state, and talk on current achievements and difficulties in this area.
