Skoltech researchers Svetlana Dubiley, Brendan Wilcox and Konstantin Severinov have co-authored a paper “Structural Basis of Leader Peptide Recognition in Lasso Peptide Biosynthesis Pathway” that has been recently published in Chemical Biology journal of American Chemical Society. The scientists have demonstrated the crystal structure of the protein responsible for recognising the leader sequence of a lasso peptide and unveiled the mechanism of this interaction.
