The Skoltech former PhD student Sofia Medvedeva has successfully defended her PhD thesis entitled “Evolutionary interplay between mobile genetic elements and the CRISPR-Cas systems” on June, 3. The joint defense with Sorbonne University, France, means Sofia has a PhD degree from Sorbonne with a high honorable mention and from Skoltech. The PhD thesis research project was performed under the supervision of prof. Konstantin Severinov and prof. Mart Krupovic. Congratulations to Sofia and her supervisors!
