Skoltech reseachers Evgeny Klimuk and Konstantin Severinov have co-authored a paper “Cryo-EM structure and in vitro DNA packaging of a thermophilic virus with supersized T=7 capsids” published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (USA) on February, 8. The researchers have resolved the structure of a thermophilic bacteriophage by cryo-EM and unveiled the mechanism of DNA packaging within the capsid of this virus.
