Ph.D. thesis title: “Hexacyanometallate-based cathode materials for potassium-ion batteries”.
Supervisor: Prof. Artem Abakumov
Polina graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University in 2017 (“The best qualification work”, Kurnakov Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Science), and graduated with honors from Skoltech in 2019. Her bachelor thesis was dedicated to memristive phenomena and she fabricated memristors by electrochemical anodic oxidation under the supervision of Dr. Dmitry Petukhov. Her Master thesis was devoted to the investigation of cathode materials and a new type of electrolytes for potassium-ion batteries under the supervision of Prof. Artem Abakumov.
Polina worked as a research scientist at Liotech Innovations, LLC, the biggest Russian civil producer of Li-ion batteries in 2018. In addition, she was a visiting student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2018.
Since 2017 she has explored cathode materials for sodium and potassium ion batteries. Polina has many skills includes XRD, SEM, spectroscopic and electrochemical techniques used for crystal- and microstructure and properties characterization.
