Polina graduated from the Soil Science Department of Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) in specialization of Genesis and Evolution of Soils in 2014. She then entered a PhD education program at MSU.
Her research focuses on the problem of techogenic contamination of soils by heavy metals and application of humic substances as a possible way of remediation of highly damaged ecosystems and stabilization of soil carbon pool. Polina has experience of working in chemical laboratories, participating in field expeditions, and teaching students.
