Contemporary Issues and Methodologies of Social Networks Big Data Analysis
The scientific research seminar “Contemporary Issues and Methodologies of Social Networks Big Data analysis” organised jointly by Laboratory of Big Data in Social Sciences of Tomsk State University and Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, will take place on the 21st of June at 11.00 am.
During the Seminar the following topics will be discussed:
- The potential and the opportunities in using Big Data to analyse Social Media and Networks.
- Methodology of data analysis in Social Media – Social Network Analysis and Natural Language Processing: description and specifics of use.
- Cases of using Big Data to solve the problems of identification and clustering of groups and communities in Social Media (based on the example of extremist groups and communities).
- The research experience in identifying and analysing extremist groups and communities in Russian Social Media by Laboratory of Big Data in Social Sciences of Tomsk State University.
