Green’ functions in Quantum Mechanics

Applications of Green’s functions to problems in quantum mechanics. Examples: Scattering problem. Shallow bound state.

Linear response theory

Applications of Green’s functions to linear response theory.

Electron transport in disordered systems

Electrons in a random potential. Impurity diagram technique. Diffusion.

Theory of superconductivity

Gorkov Green’s functions. Meissner effect: effect of disorder on superconductivity.

Research presentation

Research presentation on a topic related to the theme of the class.
