Julia Bondareva

Supervisor: Ivan Sergeichev

PhD thesis: “Sulfonimide-based dendrimers: synthesis and application for surface engineering”

Co-supervisor: Stanislav Evlashin

IDC committee members: Albert Nasibulin, Artem Oganov

Julia graduated from Saint-Petersburg State University in 2011 majoring in the chemistry of natural compounds. Her diploma work was dedicated to the synthesis of ziconotide. In 2016 Julia graduated from Master Program at Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology. Her diploma was related to Combined NMR and Molecular Modeling Studies of Reversible Molecular Encapsulation of sulfonimide-based dendrimers. In 2016 Julia was admitted on the Ph.D. program in Skoltech and continued to investigate properties of thin films made of dendrimers. At Skoltech Julia’s focus of research is on the synthesis of sulfonimide – based dendrimers and application of them as coating materials. In her current project, she works on further investigation of two types of thin films made of sulfonimide-based dendrimers with different generation numbers and analysis of them with different techniques such as (microscopy, ellipsometry, and contact angle measurements).
