Research project: «RNA delivery of CRISPR-Cas9 and gRNA to correct DMD (Duchenne muscular dystrophy) and FSHD1(Fascioscapulohumeral dystrophy 1) patient derived iPSCs»
My project includes cutting-edge scientific technologies such as iPS cell technologies and application of a powerful tool for genome editing -CRISPR-Cas9 system. iPSC-models of the diseases of interest will help us to promote the search for the gene therapy for currently incurable severe muscular dystrophies.
Master project: ‘Investigating the role of estrogen regulated microRNAs in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus’ and was held in Molecular and Therapeutics Department of Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland under the supervision of Prof Caroline Jefferies.
